UPPCS Prelims Exam Pattern 2025
The Prelims exam is the first stage and acts as a qualifying test.
Paper I – General Studies

Marks: 200
Duration: 2 Hours
Negative Marking: 0.33 (1/3rd of allotted marks per wrong answer)
Syllabus: Current Affairs, Indian History, Polity, Geography, Economy, Environment, General Science.
Paper II – CSAT (Qualifying Paper)
Questions: 100
Marks: 200
Duration: 2 Hours
Qualifying Criteria: 33% (66 Marks minimum)
Nature: Qualifying only
Syllabus: Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Mathematics (Class X level), General English & Hindi.
Important: Only Paper I marks are considered for cut-off.
